The course provides the skills, knowledge and attributes to work as an unarmed security officer, crowd controller, loss prevention officer, mobile security officer, and control room / CCTV operative.

Occupational titles include security officer, unarmed guard and crowd controller. The qualification also provides a pathway into armed guarding, cash-in-transit, close protection, control room operations and guard dog handling.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): If you have already gained the skills and experience for a unit or the entire qualification, you can apply for RPL by providing evidence of previous training, employment experience or other relevant skills. Successful applications may reduce training time and, where significant credit is granted, course fees and duration.
Credit Transfer (CT): All students can apply for credit transfer for units already completed with another RTO or authorised issuing organisation, verified against AQF certification documents or USI transcripts. Our Student Support Officer will guide you through the process.
On successful completion you will be awarded the Testamur for CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations together with a Record of Results detailing all units completed. On partial completion, a Statement of Attainment is issued for the units achieved.
